Seven Academy management was surprised last Friday 8th of January 2021 when some final year students now on insternship at Seven GPS came to introduce themselves as Seven Academy Version 2.0 Website Project Team.
They presented the new school website explaining all the technical and marketing changes made on it.
Completely mesmerized by the new design, the Director of Communications and student affairs George Munang sought to Know why the students decided to bring up a new school website as a surprise. Here was their response:
All smiled! “Actually sir, knowing that version 1.0 of the school website was developed by the 2018 web development badge, we the 2019 badge thought it wise to challenge their design by releasing version 2.0 completely different with functionalities that suit the skills Seven Academy gives its software development students. Though we are already working on version 2.1 that will be more optimized for speed and other easy-of-use functionalities, the current version 2.0 has brought the following innovations to old version:
- We have revamped the site with modern trends in full-stack web development
- We have developed a custom made mini Content Management System dubbed Seven CMS. Our school can decide to make it available to other institutions or companies who want a made in Cameroon CMS.
- We have developed a modern layout and better UI/UX for version 2.0
- And many other minor but salient changes to the old versions”. Said the tech lead of the project Michel Ndeh.
After seeing and using the site, the director of engineering at Seven GPS Akah Harvey confirmed that the version 2.0 of Sevenadvancedacademy.com website is just a window to what Seven Academy offers as full-stack web training. He further confirmed that the students succeeded to build the site completely from scratch which has greatly improved the site’s security and made scalability seamless for any future functionality implementation demand.
The founder of the Academy Madam Estelle Yomba is still to say something about the new version to confirm whether the students have met her expectation as fullstack web development students or not.
However, the director of student affairs George Munang has commended the act of harwork and self challenge employed by the students to test their skills by revamping the school website. He called on them to keep challenging themselves for that is the only way to stay relevant in the IT industry.
